Consumed is one of many pieces that I many years ago. This particular one was just really bad romantic music that the lovesick teenager past me composed to the dismay and earsplitting suffering of everybody around me. I thought if I imitated Anita Baker’s vocal acumen and styling, i would sound like Anita Baker. Instead, I warbled and howlid like wounded seals with delirium from fever.
Years later, my sister and I cleaned up the lyrics. I reworked the composition and lengthened it some, and tried to sing better.
You know when it comes from a lovesick teenager, it’s going to be emotionally, heart pouring out ridiculous 😍.

“Aqui (Alternate Mix)” is “Here”, pun intended.
I never knew what kind of music I composed until fairly recently. It was always rooted in classical and jazz, with influences from all varieties of music and artists, too many to list. But I seemed to have always had the penchant to sooth and smooze when it comes to entertaining with music. I just want to help people to relax and enjoy themselves. I hope this little piece continues to do the job and live up to your expectations.

“Balloon Farm”, a never-before-released synthesized orchestration that I created from my 1st Cubase program on my first computer, an old 333 megabyte (yeah, megabytes!) Inteva! I was an AmeriCorp volunteer at a children’s museum where among the diverse selection of interactive activities and exhibits, was a space for story time. The team made reading a story book an experience. We brought the pages to life by layering interactive engagement with our audience with enactments involving props like, for example, using paper plate puppets the children made in art class. To round out our imaginary, story book world, I provided the background music to the animated reading/telling of the story, usually live, sometimes recorded when I wasn’t at work. The children’s story, “Balloon Farm”, and its vibrant illustrations, inspired the creation of this fun improvisational work. The recording is in its raw state set to follow the oral reading of the book. I really hope you enjoy this fun, jovial piece.

“Spring”, this never-before-released piece was composed many years ago. It is one of many compositions I’ve been digging out of the old dusty recording archival trunk, giving it a makeover and expose it to the light of day with new life. As you will quickly realize, this is one of those happy-go-lucky, lift-your-spirits tunes. No doubt, we can all use a bit of optimism sometimes. Although it’s not a pop tune, I just naturally far to out there to create those. Even though I’ve always been into the most popular genres and have tried, my brain just doesn’t create that way. I guess I just pick up the most interesting sounds and harmonies and weave them into tunes like this.

Another Place and Time is a piece of encouragement and hope.
Originally another bad lovesick teens composition, I grew up, got my sister to help me rework the lyrics and make it more relevant and aspiring.
